Metareview: Lips(360)

Videogamer (80/100): “It’s the only game of its type on the 360, it’s got brilliant microphones and it at least tries to allow you to expand the potential track-list to infinity. If you like karaoke, and you have friends or family that like karaoke, it’s a damn sight better in-law entertainment option than charades this [...]

Metareview: Tomb Raider: Underworld (360,PS3)

IGN (75/100): “Only the upcoming downloadable content and achievement points make the 360 version stand out just ahead of the PS3 copy.”

1UP (B): “Underworld is an incredibly abrupt experience, so much so that it makes me question whether content was removed from the complete game to be made available later as the previously announced downloadable [...]

Metareview: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (360, PS3)

Metareview: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (360, PS3)

GamePro (80/100): “Though far from a technical fighting game, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe exceeds expectations by delivering a solidly enjoyable casual fighter. The Mature-rated gore is missed, but the core combat here feels more confident and energetic than it has in years.”

IGN (75/100): “Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is fun and a solid entry [...]

Metareview: Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii)

Games Master UK (80/100): “It’s still a great game but fans of the DS version are going to feel short-changed by the lack of imagination in this Wii retread. For everyone who missed out last time, or if you’re keen to start such an epic afresh on the TV, this may well be the family game that sends Wii Sports into permanent retirement.”

Metareview: Left 4 Dead (360)

Metareview: Left 4 Dead (360)

GameSpy (90/100): “One need only look at Left 4 Dead for proof that the gaming landscape is fundamentally changing. This is a game that was obviously envisioned from the very beginning as a co-op experience, even modeling its single-player campaign to mirror that approach. The inventive and highly entertaining competitive multiplayer mode just adds to the experience, and we’re looking forward to seeing what Valve’s got planned for the game’s future.”

Tomb Raider: Underwold’s Launch Trailer

Looking really good. I was impressed with the demo last week and this trailer makes this game a must buy for me down the road. I wonder how much of the controls you can do that we see in the trailer. Like shooting behind you as you run or are swinging?
